Ekaterina Shelehova, Soprano Kate was born in 1995 in Kailningrad, Russia. By the age of 6 she had done a radio commercial, sung solo with a choir from her music school, recorded a CD, and won the top prize in the “Russian Hopes” festival. Following her family’s move to Canada, she has won top medals in Rotary and Kiwanis Festivals in Bur-lington and Hamilton, and has twice been recognized by the Ontario Conservatory of Music as the best singer in her grade in the province.
